Abstract :First,kinds of fiber polarizers and their fabrication principle are introduced.We have designed special polarization maintaining fiber to make excellent fiber polarizers by the coiling method.The device not only has high extinction ratio and low insertion loss, but also has outstanding stability under various conditions.
